My FEA Moment

Due:  Tuesday, September 10, 2013

One of the competitions in Future Educators is called the FEA Moment (national) or the TAFE Moment (state).  It showcases students in the organization whose Future Educators experience has been a convincing factor in his or her decision to become an educator.

The August/September 2013 edition of GO teach, the official magazine of the Future Educators Association, features Kayla Billington, a student from Prosper High School in Prosper, Texas.  Read her FEA Moment and make a COMMENT on this page on what you read.

  1. I have the exact feelings like the young lady here. I know teaching is what I want to do in the future. Kayla and I have the same perspective on wanting to be the a teacher.

  8. I loved reading her story to see that there are such inspirational future teachers from our generation. Last year, I was able to experience that feeling she had when walking into a classroom. You know you are going to be a teacher when a classroom just feels right!

  9. I had the same feeling as my home girl the story, the only exception was it all hit her when she walked into the classroom. For me it was like rain slowly covering the pavement, making the evidence soft, but sure.

  22. I relate to her so much because I have known forever that I have wanted to be a teacher. Although I never doubted myself, I still had the same reaction with my kindergarten class last year. I am excited to be more involved in FEA this year and see where it leads me in my profession of being a teacher.
